Testimonies From RSU Alumni.....

My Sobriety date is 8/23/05 and my discharge date was 8/23/06. I continued to live in transitional living a period of two years thereafter. The program was such a blessing to me. I was afforded the opportunity to become alive again. My life before addiction was a fairly good life, however I always measured myself against unrealistic standards…..this made it easier for me to make poor choices. Thanks to the program I no longer have to measure myself or my life to anything or anyone else’s which has given me the freedom to be who I really am and who God intends for me to be. I no longer look to live for man’s standards but live according to the principles that govern my life given to me as a blessing from my Higher Power. He is awesome!!!!!

My name is Tracy S. I came to Right Side Up in May 5, 2005.  I did one year in residential and 6 months in Transitional.  When I came my baby was 5wks old.  In May of 2009 I will celebrate 4yrs clean, and in April my baby will be 4 yrs.  Once we entered into those doors we have not looked back.  I am so grateful for MARR and the program of NA, because GOD blessed us by placing us where we did,  I am more than willing to be a part of the Alumni Association.  Several times, alumni have attempted to start meetings at the DeKalb site, and to no avail it did not last long.  I do hope that with this part of the Alumni association getting started we will be able to do more for the women that are following in our footsteps.
